Design Technology
Welcome to the Design and Technology Department
At KS3 we follow the full National Curriculum where pupils cover all of the subjects in Technology, these are:-
Resistant Materials
Graphics
Electronics
Textiles
Food
CAD/CAM
At G.C.S.E. we currently offer:-
Graphic Products
Resistant Materials
Electronics
Catering
Child Development
Child Care
At post 16 we currently offer A and AS levels in Graphics and the BTEC National, in Construction.
The department regularly enters pupils in design competitions and are the current holders of the South Wales Minimal Award and the Sony Small Business Challenge. The department has strong ling links with the local EBP and the Engineering Department at Ystrad Mynach College
